Coding egg cartons: The code on the carton is often the first impression a consumer gets after opening the egg carton to look for cracked eggs. If the code is unreadable, consumers often put the carton back on the shelf and all the hard work of producing beautiful eggs and creating an attractive package is lost. The code on the carton also indicates the origin and expiry date. A clearly legible code on the egg carton is therefore essential.
