Een belangrijke sector voor lntercol is de etiketteerbranche, waarvoor het bedrijf verschillende lijm­soorten in haar assortiment heeft. lntercol kan tot zo'n veertig verschillende lijmen leveren voor allerlei toepassingen. Daarbij kan rekening gehouden worden met technisch gevraagde eigenschap­pen. Voor het etiketteren met watergedragen lijmen heeft lntercol onder andere lijmen op basis van caseïne, polyvinylalcohol, ureumformaldehyde. Maar uiteraard ook synthetische lijmen; deze zijn uitermate geschikt voor de drankindustrie door hun ijswatervaste eigenschappen. De nieuwste ont­wikkelingen worden gevolgd en uitgebreid getest op de aanwezige Krones en Langguth machines in het lntercol laboratorium. Er wordt onder andere gekeken naar de loopeigenschappen en hechting. Zo is recent een nieuw product ontwikkeld voor de blik etiketteermarkt. Deze lijm heeft een uiter­mate goede hechting en drukt geen lijntjes door het etiket heen.
