Especially when printed information on packaging needs to be functional or visible from a great distance, large character inkjet is the best solution. Bulk packaging, pipes, steel, plastic, insulation material, wood and concrete in particular are often provided with Drop on Demand (DOD) coding with large format characters. Due to the size of the coding field, it is possible to provide packaging with the complete desired coding. A print height of up to 127 mm per printhead is even possible. Leak detection of MAP packaging With the specific LDS700-IoT leak detection system from FT System it is possible to inspect your products in MAP packaging for leaks. These products are packaged low in oxygen, in other words: MAP packaging (Modified Atmosphere Packaging). Gases are then applied inside the packaging, so that the spoilage of food is slower than when packaging with normal air. When defects, no matter how small, are detected by this system, the product is rejected and possibly ejected.
