    6. More efficient packaging of industrial sand for Zandzuigbedrijf Het Noorden

More efficient packaging of industrial sand for Zandzuigbedrijf Het Noorden

Zandzuigbedrijf Het Noorden is a company specialized in the production and sale of industrial sand such as filter sand and gravel. They extract quartz sand from the ground, process it and pack it in bags. The company already had machines for this project that packaged the quartz sand in plastic open-mouth bags, but this process was not as fast, efficient or cost-effective as they would like. That's why they wanted a more advanced packaging solution that would enable a faster, better and cheaper way of packaging. To help Zandzuigbedrijf Het Noorden pack their quartz sand more efficiently, we recommended the Essegi F1000. This packaging machine, equipped with a net weigher and thermal transfer printer, provided the perfect solution for their needs. The main problem with the previous machine was that the product had different bulk weights, but the machine only filled one type of bag. As a result, some bags were well filled, others less so. With a flat film machine such as the Essegi F1000, the bags are tailor-made to the product, so that the bags are always optimally filled. The PE film comes off the roll after which the bag is filled and sealed. More than 2000 bags fit on a roll, so they do not need to be replaced frequently. This was the case with the previous machine, which was more labor and cost intensive. The project was a great success and resulted in a very satisfied customer. With the Essegi F1000, Zandzuigbedrijf Het Noorden received an efficient packaging solution that packed their quartz sand faster, better and more cost-effectively in polyethylene bags formed from the roll. Moreover, the entire process from application to placement took only 6 months.

    7. Never again wrong codings with Kortho Equipment

Never again wrong codings with Kortho Equipment

Production companies are constantly confronted with changing coding requirements. New laws and ever changing market demands need to be constantly covered. When codings are not in compliance with these requirements great expenses can be the result. To be able to fulfil these needs companies have to rely on the (in)possibilities of printers and software. Specific coding needs are therefore always implemented with custom programming and tailor-made integration of coding equipment. Usually while having to deal with multiple suppliers. A situation that is far from ideal in an ever changing market with increasingly complex legislation and therefor coding needs. Flexibility and specific custom work after all do not go well together. Taylor made solutions are in addition expensive, unstable and are full with work-arounds that hardly ever deliver the most optimal solution. Let alone that all printers and software are directly compatible and everything can be implemented by one supplier.

    8. New and exclusive to ATS Tanner: Post-consumer recycled (PCR) banding film.

New and exclusive to ATS Tanner: Post-consumer recycled (PCR) banding film.

The environmentally friendly banding film promotes the circular economy by using recycled materials and reducing the need for virgin plastics. FTN PCR35 is manufactured from high quality polypropylene (PP) and contains a minimum of 35% post-consumer recycled polypropylene. The film contains no harmful plasticizers and is easily recycled. And with FTN PCR35, our customers can save money: The EU plastic tax aims to reduce plastic waste and promote recycled materials. FTN PCR35 with PCR content supports this goal and reduces taxes.

    9. New control & inspection systems from FT System

New control & inspection systems from FT System

Taking quality control to the next level Manufacturers have always been able to contact De Koningh for checkweighers, metal detectors and X-ray inspection systems. Now another step forward has been taken with three new technologies: Leak detection with infrared technology, seal seam inspection based on hyperspectral vision technology, 360° label and code inspection based on 3D vision technology. Preventing risks is better than cure With this new equipment we are able to guarantee the best quality control in every packaging process. The leak detection systems detect leaks in MAP packaging, such as tiny holes in the foil or bad seals. Seal seam inspection For accurate control of the seal, we supply seal seam inspection systems. Fully inline, the vision system automatically inspects the seal seams of tray, seal or thermoformed packaging. Foods sometimes end up under the seal. Then the seal is closed at the time of production, but that does not remain the case with all the consequences that entails. Now products with deviations are directly ejected from the production line. Label and code inspection Incorrect labeling and coding is also an increasing risk for recalls. Someone with a nut allergy should rely completely on the correct label information. Then there may be no products without a label or with the wrong label, semi-readable best before dates or incorrect prints. All preventable with our label inspection and code inspection equipment.

      New next level Sesotec factory

On October 21, 2024, Sesotec celebrated a significant milestone: the topping-out ceremony for the new New Level Factory. The shell is in place, the roof has been installed and the timber-hybrid building has been successfully erected. This marks an important step in the development of this innovative project. Almost 100 guests accepted the invitation, including numerous guests of honor, including District Administrator Sebastian Gruber, all three mayors of the market town of Schönberg and the shareholders of VTC, Stefan and Jürgen Leuze. After the topping-out speech, which the carpenter held high up on the building shell, Stefan Feldmeier, Managing Director of Sesotec Immobilien GmbH, thanked all the craftsmen and fitters from the companies involved in the construction (Brüninghoff, Caverion, solar Pur AG and others) for their commitment and expertise, which made this construction possible in the first place. “Without the hard work and commitment of the entire team, we wouldn't be here today,” said Feldmeier. “Despite the numerous challenges that can arise on a construction site, every hurdle was overcome with flying colors.” Special thanks also went to the architects, planners and the entire project team, who brought the vision of the New Level Factory to life with their creativity and expertise. Feldmeier also emphasized the cooperation with VTC, who, as a reliable partner, have significantly supported the progress of the project, as have the market town and the district. The topping-out ceremony also provided an opportunity to look to the future: “The New Level Factory will be a place where people can feel comfortable, come together and develop new ideas. A space that will further strengthen innovation and collaboration at Sesotec and enrich the company,” said Feldmeier. The joyful occasion ended with a traditional snack and a cozy get-together.
