Bin picking is an advanced pick-and-place application combining robots and computer vision. Thanks to 3D vision, robots can now recognize and pick products in a bin, eliminating the need for standardized offerings. This changes the view of robot capabilities, as the robot now recognizes and picks up individual products, rather than requiring standardized feeding from a conveyor belt. This innovation even allows a robot to load bulk products from a conveyor belt.
During the week of Feb. 26, we will offer the opportunity for a one-and-a-half-hour 1-on-1 demo of a Bin-Picking setup with a sensor system from SICK and a cobot. SICK is one of the world’s leading providers of sensor-based solutions for industrial applications.
