As a manufacturer and global supplier of packaging solutions, Ranpak is making full use of automation. Customers need to be able to fill their packages as quickly and profitably as possible, so they believe at the company, which is based in Heerlen in the Netherlands. Moreover, it is not only about financial returns, but also sustainable returns. Hence Ranpak’s slogan: Deliver a Better World.
Controls improved
Paper packaging and automation are increasingly coming together for Ranpak, that much is clear. Take, for example, the PadPak Guardian: a compact converter that converts paper into buffer material, is relatively easy to move and can therefore be used flexibly. The Guardian has substantial improvements over its predecessors. Not to mention the new controls, for which Ranpak collaborated with us.
Towards a new platform
The controls of previous converter versions were becoming obsolete, so Ranpak wanted to move towards a new, unified platform at the same time as developing the Guardian. Together, we came up with the new controller within three months, as a contribution to a solution that ensures that, at the customer’s premises, the yield goes along with every pack.
