ADBioplastics is a Spanish company specialised in the development and commercialisation of additives and advanced bioplastics.
Our PLA-Premium bioplastic improves elongation at break (mechanical properties) by up to 70%, achieving a version of PLA “Premium”, that is, less brittle and more elastic. We also improve processability (cycle times and density comparable to PET) and barrier properties: to water vapour and oxygen, among many other advantages.
PLA-Premium enables the development of high quality bio-based and compostable plastics, becoming the ideal substitute for conventional plastics in many sectors, such as packaging (food, cosmetics and nutrition), 3D printing, medicine, textiles, construction, agriculture and consumer goods.
Our products are bio-based and compostable, and we produce them with raw materials from renewable sources such as corn, sugar cane or beets that, under industrial conditions, disintegrate in just three months (we have the “OK Compost Industrial” certificate granted by the TÜV Austria). This process will allow companies to comply with the European Union’s plastic reduction directive by 2030, promoting the circular economy.
Our main goal is to help companies meet national and international legislative challenges in the industry. At the same time, we want to contribute to the sustainability strategies of our customers.
