‘S-HERTOGENBOSCH – The coming edition of Empack has been postponed to 8 & 9 September 2021, which was planned for 31 March & 1 April 2021 in Brabanthallen’ s-Hertogenbosch. Trade show organizer Easyfairs has come to this decision in consultation with the exhibitors and other partners. The most recent developments, such as the Covid-19 variants, the lockdown and the current prohibition on events, make it impossible to host trade shows on a short term basis and highly uncertain at a later stadium. “We, therefore, decided to postpone the trade show to September 2021”, explains Rowdy van den Nieuwenhuizen, Head of Content at Easyfairs.
Empack postponed in consultation with exhibitors
The postponement of Empack to September 2021 has been decided in consultation with all parties involved. “We find it of high importance to listen to our exhibitors and their needs and wishes. We have made an inventory among our exhibitors with regards to their view to let Empack take place on the current date or to postpone it to 2022. The majority of our exhibitors chose to postpone their participation to September 2021 and we, therefore, have decided to postpone the trade show for the packaging sector.”
“By making this decision at an early stage, we have created clarity for our exhibitors, partners and visitors. However, at this moment in time, the postponement to 8 and 9 September 2021 is the only correct decision. We will do everything we can to ensure we have a fantastic trade show later this year, we already developed a few new concepts to introduce in 2020 and 2021, which connects with the current affairs of the packaging sector. It promises to be an unforgettable edition in every way.”
Empack’s exhibition floor has more than 300 exhibitors every year, who are visited by approximately 9,000 professionals from the Netherlands and abroad. Empack is therefore the largest network and knowledge event in the Netherlands for the packaging sector.
