Exhibitor Tips
Dear Exhibitors: join our green team and take action for the future! As an exhibitor at Empack, you play an essential role in helping us create a more sustainable event. Below are some practical tips to make your participation more sustainable.
Stand Design & Waste
Choose the organiser’s reusable all-inclusive stand package or design your own stand so it can be reused multiple times. Work with your stand builder to make your stand as sustainable as possible. Avoid creating a single-use stand for one event.
Use reusable signage (without dates) made from recyclable materials and printed with environmentally friendly inks whenever possible.
Use LED lighting and other energy-efficient equipment on your stand, and remember to switch everything off at the end of the day.
Try to avoid using carpet. If carpet is necessary, choose reusable carpet tiles whenever possible. If standard carpet is used, ensure it is recyclable and actually recycled.
Travel & Accommodation
Whenever possible, travel by public transport or carpool with colleagues.
Choose a hotel within walking distance and/or one that follows sustainable practices.
Logistics
Consolidate shipments and work with transport and logistics companies that operate sustainably.
Prioritise local suppliers to support the local economy and reduce transportation emissions.
Give preference to suppliers that follow sustainable and responsible business practices.
Catering & Food Waste
Bring your own reusable water bottle and make use of our water refill stations to help reduce single-use plastic waste.
If you serve food at your stand, choose locally sourced and plant-based options whenever possible and avoid single-use plastics.
Prevent food waste by ordering only the quantities you actually need.
Social Responsibility
Actively participate in the various initiatives and discussions during the event that support the sustainable development of your industry.
Inspire visitors by highlighting the sustainable features of your products and services.
