Weber Marking Systems
What is an inkjet printer? And what are the benefits?
Inkjet printers apply text and / or images to a surface by means of tiny ink droplets, or by ejecting or deflecting air from a printhead in a targeted manner. Inkjet technology is also partly used in (inkjet) printing of labels.
Inkjet printers from Weber Marking Systems have the following advantages:
- Non-contact printing: Because only the ink droplets come into contact with the surface, uneven, moving and sensitive products or packaging can also be printed.
- Change print content without conversion: In contrast to offset or gravure printing, inkjet printers do not have a fixed printing form. As a result, variable texts, codes, serial numbers and graphics can all be printed one after the other on the assembly line. Data such as time, date or batch number can simply be retrieved from a database.
- High print speed: Depending on the technology, products can be printed that move at a speed of up to 5 meters per second. We have already printed up to 300 changing digit sequences per second!
- Wide range of applications: Thanks to a large selection of different inks and special accessories, our inkjet printers can be used in almost all sectors and on a wide variety of materials and applications.
- Low printing costs: Inkjet printing can be an economical alternative to labeling - for example when labeling cartons for internal logistics.
