Our mission states that we relieve you of your worries by protecting your products, every day. In order to make that happen, we are constantly looking for the best packaging solutions on the market. This task primarily lies with our portfolio managers and purchasing department. They conduct daily research into the latest developments and innovations, in order to find the best and most sustainable solutions for you.

During this search, they must also conclude that there are very good initiatives and alternatives, but they are often more expensive or provide less protection. It is therefore important to test as many new products as possible and to include those with the best results in our range.

More sustainable solutions for moisture protection
We recently completed a case study with our partner in moisture-protective packaging solutions, with significant cost savings. These are used in container storage and transport where metal parts, electronic equipment or natural products need to be protected against the effects of moisture. This is to prevent rust and mold. The proven VCI method is currently widely used in the storage and transport of metal parts. In this method, molecules adhere to the surface of the metal and form a thin, protective layer. This layer prevents moisture and other corrosive elements from reaching the metal.

The use of desiccants is an alternative way to counteract the negative impact of moisture. We are all familiar with the small bags of desiccant that we find in a shoebox. Our supplier Absortech applies this method on an industrial scale. And they presented a use case that does not lie.
