The Packaging Woman of the Netherlands

Empack Netherlands and the NVC Packaging Centre proudly launch the very first edition of “Packaging Woman Netherlands.” This new initiative highlights female professionalism within the packaging sector and thereby contributes to the sustainable strengthening of the field. The initiators are partly inspired by the SAGE (Sustainable Ageing) movement, which focuses on fostering a sustainably developing society.

Registration is now closed. Registration for 2027 opens on 15 April 2026.

Announcement during Empack

Any woman with Dutch nationality, or working for a company established in the Netherlands, and with at least one year of experience in a packaging-related role, may apply or be nominated. The festive announcement of the first “Packaging Woman Netherlands” will take place on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 4:00 PM during Empack at Evenementenhal Gorinchem.

A committee of leading female professionals will evaluate the candidates.

After the announcement

n the year following her appointment as Packaging Woman Netherlands 2026, the winner will have the opportunity to contribute to the further development of female professionalism in packaging in the Netherlands and beyond. She will be supported, where she wishes, by the team of Empack and the NVC Packaging Centre:

  • Free access to all NVC association activities, training programs, courses, and workshops.
  • A stage at Empack 2027
  • Access to all European packaging trade fairs organized by Easyfairs

The Packaging Woman Netherlands 2026 will subsequently serve on the committee responsible for selecting her successor.
