Training Machine Safety in one day

Training Machine Safety in One Day: Machine safety is a topic that affects everyone who works with machines: from mechanics to users, from designers to purchasers. In this compact, practical one-day training course, you will receive a clear introduction to the basic principles of machine safety.

The following topics are covered:
- European directives such as the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the new Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230;
- Risk assessment: identifying hazards, assessing risks, and evaluating risk-reduction measures;
- Applying harmonized standards;
- CE marking: what does it mean, what is its value, and who is allowed to affix it?
- An introduction to control engineering safety;
- Common safety measures.

You will learn, among other things:
- to identify the minimum requirements and important definitions of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC;
- to indicate what to look out for when transitioning to the new Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230;
- to describe the importance and value of a CE marking;
- Recognize hazards and assess risks based on ISO 12100;
- Make informed choices from various safety measures.

About the training:
Duration: 1 day;
Group size: maximum 12 people;
Instructors with extensive experience (>20 years).
VIRO is affiliated with the OOM Foundation. They have a training fund for companies affiliated with: De Unie, CNV, FNV Metaal, and Koninklijke Metaalunie.
You will receive a certificate of participation upon completion.

Cost overview:
The training is preferably given on-site. The cost is €2,850 (all-inclusive, maximum 12 people). We also offer the option of taking the training at a VIRO location. The cost for training at a VIRO location is €450 per person, including lunch. Please contact VIRO to discuss the options.
