VIA Machinebouw
About us
VIA Machinebouw is a company that is widely involved in mechanical engineering. Because VIA Machinebouw has the mechanical engineering, hardware engineering, software engineering and production completely in-house, it is a company that can switch quickly.
Because no production process is the same, VIA Machinebouw focuses mainly on special machines and therefore also deals with issues for which there is no automation solution yet. This means that the final solution seamlessly connects to the customer's production process.
In addition, VIA Machinebouw has a wide range of solutions that can be used universally and only need to be fine-tuned to customer specifications. Think of filling and weighing products, pick-and-place products and other product handling. Due to the broad knowledge, multiple types of solutions can also be applied in one line. This means that the customer does not have to go to another company for every step in the production process and the lines remain short.
VIA Machinebouw also implements robotics in business processes. If a robotics solution fits best in the customer's business process, the choice is quickly made. Our goal is to relieve the customer with the most suitable solution.

XYrZ-Gantry Robot
This brand new developed XYzR system is the future solution in the field of product handling. The relatively compact system can move your product from position A to position B at lightning speed, without the need for manpower. Whether you need to stack products from a conveyor belt onto a pallet, or whether your products need to be transported for further production: our system can be used for this. Thanks to the rotating gripper, your products can also be rotated, making the system widely applicable. This system saves you time and employees.

Sealunit
The sealing unit is a machine that can be integrated into lines where big bags are filled with a filling nozzle. The filling nozzle is passed between two heated beams, the beams squeeze the filling nozzle, causing the filling nozzle to be closed. The person who normally buttons the bags can work elsewhere in the factory. The sealing unit is universally designed and height adjustable, so it requires relatively few adjustments to use the machine in any line. Thanks to the robust, self-standing stainless steel frame, the machine can be placed anywhere where there is space in the line. The unit is relatively compact, the dimensions are 2.2x1.2.2.8 meters (wxlxh). Depending on the numbers of big bags that are turned weekly and the customer-specific adjustments, the sealing unit has an attractive payback period. This makes it a sustainable and economically attractive investment.

Filling machine with robot
12.5% increased production capacity & 90% savings on labor costs by filling machine with robot This filling machine with robot was specially developed for a customer who needed to improve their production process. The goal was to automate the process of handling 25kg bags in order to increase productivity and reduce labor costs. In the process, the empty bags must be picked up, after which they must be accurately filled. After the bags have been filled, they must be sealed and stacked on a pallet. In order to meet the customer's wishes, we created a setup under the customer's silo. We used a robot with a multifunctional gripper on a stainless steel frame, a table where the empty bags can be placed, a conveyor belt, a push-out container and weighing modules that accurately weigh the weight of the bags. Two tubes with filling mouths are connected under the silo. The operator ensures that a pallet is in the right place and that there are empty bags on the table. The robot arm picks up the empty bag with a small gripper with slides and slides it over the filling mouth. The bag that is being filled in the meantime is on a container that weighs the bag accurately by means of a weighing module. At 25 kg the machine stops filling and the bag is sealed shut by means of heat bars. The push-out container in which the bag is placed slides the bag onto the conveyor belt, after which it is transported to the end of the conveyor belt. The robot picks up the bag from the conveyor belt with the large vacuum gripper and places it on the pallet. The filling mouth, the weighing modules and the push-out containers are double, which ensures that the process runs smoothly. The process is repeated until the pallet is full.

Book processing by cobot
Cobots (collaborative robots) are increasingly being used to automate (your) production processes. VIA Techniek has deployed a cobot for a customer and integrated it into a logistics system/machine. The cobot unstacks books that have been sprayed with gold leaf, in collaboration with a linear actuator. The cobot also performs an action with the books, which causes the pages to become separated, after which the processed books are stacked again on the discharge conveyor belt. The cobot can process a wide range of book dimensions, which means that the customer's production process is largely automated.
