New: wider ZeroTape® for larger boxes

“Our ZeroTape® family has been supplemented with a new dispenser and tape since April. In addition to the ZeroTape® Classic and First dispenser of 48mm, we now also have a ZeroTape® Classic dispenser of 72mm. This is so that larger rolls of tape can also be used manually and therefore larger boxes can be closed effortlessly.” ZeroTape®, in combination with the special ergonomic dispenser, ensures greatly improved posture and movement, especially of the wrist. This leads to no less than 75% less strain on the wrist, arm and shoulder and 25% less muscle activity. The result is not only ease of packing, but it also prevents injuries and absenteeism due to illness. This is also the case with the wider dispenser of 72mm. It is slightly larger but still comfortable and efficient to use. The benefits of ZeroTape® have been scientifically researched and confirmed In collaboration with the Department of Ergonomics at the University of Siegen in Germany, the innovative benefits of ZeroTape® were scientifically investigated and confirmed. Compared to other tape dispensers, the study shows a huge improvement with 75% less strain on tense muscles in the shoulder and forearm when using ZeroTape®. ZeroTape® received the prestigious award for ergonomic product development from the renowned 'Ergonomics Competence Network' (ECN). ZeroTape® is a quality tape with a special small core of only 38mm. On the standard ZeroTape® rolls, there can be up to 150 meters of tape on a roll instead of the usual 66 meters. With the new, wider rolls of 72mm, there is 100 meters of tape on a roll. The ergonomic ZeroTape® dispenser therefore contains more than twice as much tape. This not only means more than halving roll changes, but also less storage space and waste. Topa Thermal wins the BSMA 2023 Sustainability Award

New: Recycled PET tape for green users

Looking for an environmentally friendly and efficient alternative to tape to close boxes mechanically? Then you have come to the right place! Recycled PET tape: unique due to a combination of factors This tape consists of 85% recycled PET packaging, but that is not the only thing that makes the tape so special. Furthermore, the tape also consists of patented 19 micron foil, making it much thinner than a standard 32 micron tape. This results in a reduction of material by up to 40%. Because recycled PET tape is so thin, the roll contains no less than 1,500 meters of tape, so 50% more than a standard roll. Which means halving the roll changes, but also less storage space. This makes the tape particularly efficient and practical to use. Fiber Film and Fiber Wrapper prevent injuries and sick leave

Fiber Film, in combination with the Fiber Wrapper, prevents injuries and absenteeism due to illness The strong, thin and stretchable Fiber Film in combination with the remarkably light design of the Fiber Wrapper ensures an ergonomically sound wrapping process. In fact, wrapping a pallet hardly requires any force. For comparison: with a standard stretch film it takes thirty kilos of tensile force to achieve 10% stretch. With the Fiber Film and Fiber Wrapper, seven kilos of tensile force already provides 30% stretch. Converted, the Fiber Film and Fiber Wrapper are more than ten times lighter to use. This places much less strain on muscles in the wrist, arm and shoulder and prevents injuries and absenteeism due to illness. The Fiber Film wrapping film is not only thinner. The film also increases pallet stability to the level of the Eumos 40509 guidelines. This is due to the reinforced horizontal fibers (wires). Partly due to the use of the Fiber Wrapper, the Fiber Film fits tighter around the load. This provides a greater holding force and prevents sliding. The Fiber Film therefore significantly reduces the risk of damage to the transported products. Fiber Film, in combination with the Fiber Wrapper, is 60% more durable and delivers 30% savings Due to its unique structure, the Fiber Film is considerably thinner, but thanks to special fibers it is stronger than conventional foil. As a result, far fewer windings are required, a roll lasts longer, the process is faster, it costs less film to wrap a pallet, and you reduce your costs per pallet by up to 30%. In search of more sustainable alternatives Our mission states that we relieve you of your worries by protecting your products, every day. In order to make that happen, we are constantly looking for the best packaging solutions on the market. This task primarily lies with our portfolio managers and purchasing department. They conduct daily research into the latest developments and innovations, in order to find the best and most sustainable solutions for you. During this search, they must also conclude that there are very good initiatives and alternatives, but they are often more expensive or provide less protection. It is therefore important to test as many new products as possible and to include those with the best results in our range. More sustainable solutions for moisture protection We recently completed a case study with our partner in moisture-protective packaging solutions, with significant cost savings. These are used in container storage and transport where metal parts, electronic equipment or natural products need to be protected against the effects of moisture. This is to prevent rust and mold. The proven VCI method is currently widely used in the storage and transport of metal parts. In this method, molecules adhere to the surface of the metal and form a thin, protective layer. This layer prevents moisture and other corrosive elements from reaching the metal. The use of desiccants is an alternative way to counteract the negative impact of moisture. We are all familiar with the small bags of desiccant that we find in a shoebox. Our supplier Absortech applies this method on an industrial scale. And they presented a use case that does not lie.
