About us

Royal De Vries Cardboard Printing was founded in Sneek in 1874 by Jack GJ de Vries. Originally a printing company, we grew in the 20th century into a leading manufacturer of folding cartons and packaging printing for national and international brands. Key milestones include: in 1983, we were the first in the Netherlands to install a six-color press, which laid the foundation for our position as an innovative packaging specialist. Under the leadership of the third generation, we moved to our current location on Lorentzstraat in the late 1970s, followed by modernization and growth under new ownership from 1997 onward. In 2018, Royal De Vries became part of the FB Oranjewoud Foundation, with a mission to promote employment in the Northern Netherlands. Since 2016, the company has proudly carried the "Royal" designation, recognizing over 150 years of craftsmanship, reliability, and social responsibility. Today, Royal De Vries stands for quality, innovation, and partnership, with packaging that is both functional and contributes to our customers' brand experience.
