SmartAgain® Polymer Alloy for PE or PP based co-extruded barrier films

HJ Eco® Ultra-Moisture-Barrier (UMB) Heavy-Duty PE sacks
HJ Eco® UMB is a PPWR-compliant mono-PE packaging solution specifically developed for highly moisture-sensitive products. It offers a recyclable alternative to conventional, non-recyclable aluminum foil–based multi-material structures, with minimal compromise in performance. The structure is engineered by laminating HJ Eco® VMPE - specially developed metallized PE blown film substrates - onto heavy-duty PE blown films. This robust construction ensures excellent mechanical strength, enabling the packaging to withstand demanding handling conditions, including rigorous free-drop testing. In terms of barrier performance, HJ Eco® UMB delivers moisture protection comparable to aluminum foil laminates at room temperature. Even under elevated temperature and high humidity conditions, it maintains a consistently high moisture barrier, with only minimal performance reduction.

HJ Eco® Sealable High Barrier PE films
HJ Eco® O₂PE is a barrier-coated polyethylene (PE) blown film offering excellent protection against oxygen and moisture. It is ideally suited for lamination onto paperboard, providing both superior barrier performance and reliable sealing properties, making it a strong candidate for sustainable packaging solutions. HJ Eco® VMPE is an aluminium metallized polyethylene (PE) blown film substrate that provides exceptional moisture barrier properties and superior mechanical strength. It is one of the highest-performing barrier-coated PE blown film substrates available. When laminated with PE blown film, it enables the production of heavy-duty mono-PE sacks and form-fill-seal (FFS) packaging that withstands rigorous free-drop tests while effectively preventing moisture permeation.

HJ Eco® High barrier MDOPE films
HJ Eco® MDOPE 3+ (PVOH Free) is a barrier-coated, mono-direction-oriented, high-transparency PE film top web that provides a high barrier against oxygen and moisture. It minimizes the sealing challenges of conventional MDO-PE films and functions as the reverse-printed top layer, laminated onto a PE bottom film layer. The barrier coating layers are formed by aluminum oxide which makes the film compliant to the latest European recycling requirements. HJ Eco® VMMDOPE is an aluminum-metallized, mono-direction-oriented PE film substrate that offers a high barrier against light, oxygen, and moisture. It serves as a sustainable alternative to non-recyclable aluminum foil traditionally laminated between two PE layers, making it ideal for stand-up pouch films that protect light-, oxygen-, and moisture-sensitive products.
