Products

Extrusie verpakkingen van verschillende kunststoffen voor (non) food fabrikanten, zoals flessen en potten
The extrusion blow molding process begins with heating PP pellets until they melt. The molten material is then injected into a mold, where it is formed into a hollow tube, known as a parison. This parison is then placed in a mold, and compressed air is used to inflate it against the walls of the mold, forming the desired shape. Extrusion blow molding of PP is an effective and efficient solution for producing food packaging with an excellent balance of performance, food safety, and sustainability.

Spuitgiet verpakkingen van PP en PE voor (non) food fabrikanten, zoals bussen, doppen en containers
Injection molding involves melting plastic granules and injecting them into a mold under high pressure. The liquid plastic takes the shape of the mold. The plastic is then cooled, and the packaging is removed from the mold.

Thermoformed Packaging from (r)PET and PP for fresh food
At Hordijk, we provide both custom and standard packaging solutions. Our packaging is produced and stored in two modern factories in Zaandam, under strict BRC-approved hygiene conditions.

Mono PET meat tray
A good example of our circular approach is the development of the mono PET meat tray with a locked seal. Thanks to this design, not only is functionality improved, but the quality of the recyclate is also increased, which is essential for a closed cycle. You can see this tray at our stand.

Thermoform sustainable (fresh) food packaging

Chemical recycling
Hordijk Packaging has taken an important step towards a circular economy by testing the chemical recycling of PET material from household PMD waste. With this technique, used PET can be processed into high-quality raw material that can be reused. We will be happy to show you samples of chemically recycled PMD waste at our stand.

Albert Heijn uses circulair MDS PET packaging from Hordijk
Albert Heijn is the first supermarket to use transparent tray-to-tray packaging. The packaging was developed by plastic recycling company Umincorp and Hordijk and consists of 40% recycled PET, of which at least half comes from household packaging waste (MDS rPET).
