About us
Founded in 1929, with a mission to provide premium custom printed
flexible packaging, Bastin-Pack became now a leading and
awarded flexographic printer, serving European medium-size
businesses and multinationals in the food and pharmaceutical
sector. Through our constructive approach, exceptional customer
service and flexibility, we have earned a good reputation as flexible
packaging specialist. Especially when it comes to sustainable
solutions such as bio-based, (industrial) compostable or recyclable
flexible packaging, we make buying flexible packaging easy with
one contact person at your disposal for the entire process.
Bastin-Pack is technology-driven and built to produce a large range
of flexible packaging solutions such as wrappers on reels,
doypacks, pouches, blockbottombags and flat bags.
Products
Flat Bags (2 or 3 seals)
Flat bags with 2 or 3 seals are especially used for the fish, meat and cheese industry. These bags can be provided with a reclosable ZIP.
Vacuüm pouches with side gusset
Vacuum pouches with side folds produced by BASTIN have a practical and aesthetic advantage: the vertical back seal is not in the middle of the bag but at one side. As a consequence, the top of the bag is easier to seal and the backside can be printed allover. A K-seal can also be applied, improving the filling of the bag and its stability. These bags are mainly intended for packing pet food, cereals, coffee, tea, confectionery, rice, flower, etc. The option of applying a degassing valve is very popular with coffee roasters. Block Bottom Bags
Block bottom bags, a touch of nostalgia. As an alternative to the box packaging, the block bottom bags are still a big success today. This is due to its rectangular bottom, giving the bag stability. With its artisanal image this bag is mainly used for flower, sugar, coffee, tea, biscuits, confectionery, cereals, etc. Block bottom bags are also a solution for small quantities, filled manually. Doypack / Standup Pouch
Stand up pouches (doypacks) provide a true revolution in the packaging world: they have a high ease of use and can be used for numerous applications including pasty and liquid products such as sauces, soup, cosmetic gels, soap, etc. Our doypacks are custom made and can be provided with: reclosable ZIP degassing valve eurolock handle tear notch spout window perforation
Printed high barrier film
Our advanced 8-colour flexo printing presses bring your packaging to life using high resolution printing plates. Full-width web inspection guarantees a consistent print result. By joining up to 4 layers of film, paper and aluminum, a high-quality laminate is created with barrier properties against oxygen, moisture, light, aromas and/or gases. This increases the shelf life of your product. When possible, we ensure that the printed side is isolated. As a result, the printing isn’t in direct contact with your product and thus protected from scratches.
Sustainable Packaging
To reduce waste, it is good to focus on recyclable materials such as paper, PE and PP. These are more easily separated during recycling and can thus be reused as raw materials for other products. Bastin-Pack also produces compostable packaging. Both industrial and home OK compost packaging must comply with the EN13432 standard. They are (usually) made from renewable materials which also have sufficient barrier properties to protect your product. Visit our booth for more information.
