Brightlands Symposium - Circular challenges of plastics packaging
Everyone who is involved with packaging knows that “making packaging circular” will play a major role in the coming years. Goals are set, measures taken, we must start using packaging differently and produce more sustainably. Everything must be recyclable and the recycled material must again be usefully usable again.
Design for Intended Use (DIU) - An update about smart packaging design
Utrecht is a beautiful old stock exchange city, centrally located in the Netherlands and the EmpackNL there also offers an excellent opportunity for the NVC member companies in the Netherlands and Flanders in particular to meet each other and the employees of the NVC association office. This includes both our member visitors and member exhibitors. In the lecture program during Empack on 31 March 2020, much attention is paid to Design for Intended Use (DIU) and the NVC innovation project on Web Retail Packaging.
Carbon Free Future - Learn to offset your CO2-emissions
Packaging ensures less food waste and makes efficient transport of products possible. At the same time, we must ensure that our packaging does not end up in the environment. We also lose more than 10 billion trees every year, and the consequences are not tender. For that reason, Empack cooperates with United Packaging Forest and we plant one tree per exhibitor, in Uganda or in the Dutch Biesbosch.
Towards Zero Waste - Reap the benefits of your trash
Waste is valuable. Why? It can be used as a raw material in the manufacture of innovative furniture products. And that is great, because it means we don’t have to extract new raw materials from the earth for new products. If we don’t want to exhaust the earth, we have to deal with our waste differently. Empack is happy to contribute to this. Read more soon!
