Packing apples in cardboard trays held together by paper banderoles is becoming more and more standard. The advantages are obvious:
– The packaging contains no plastic
– The packaging consists optionally of recycled material
– Consumers can easily return the packaging to the recycling cycle
– No additional labels: the banderole is printed with production
information during banding
– Packaging as brand ambassador: cardboard and paper packaging stands
for ecological sustainability
– Room for more: The banderole can optionally be printed on both sides
and thus offers enough space for a story about the producer, a recipe or
a competition.
– Possibility for automation: The wing shells can of course be banded
manually or semi-automatically, but for large producers such as
L’Alliance Perlim-Meylim, the advantages of full automation are decisive.
